People may prefer this type of bedside table for children, since it’s durable, and is easily and inexpensively replaced if broken.
Another thing for your bedroom it's an absolute must that you know the size the nightstand needs to be. Never go shopping for a nightstand before you know how tall or wide you need for it to be. It would be a total waste of time to find a nightstand that you really like only to bring it home and discover that nightstand doesn't fit in your bedroom. Always take measurements of the area where the bedside table will be placed before you go shopping and only look at it that are sized within those measurements. You should also make sure the nightstand is not too deep, particularly if you jump out of bed in the morning without looking before you leap. Do however, measure anything you plan to put on a bedside table before setting out shopping.
