8ft wind mill

You need to supply flat washers and lock washers with the nuts and bolts to assemble it. If you want to get a 5 star rating from everyone you need to put a grease fitting on the windmill head so the bearings won't wear out or rust out. 😁👍

Cheerful red windmill

This windmill was pretty easy to put together. Get an electric screwdriver with a phillips bit, and a 9mm open end/ box end wrench. Lay out all the parts on the ground. The instructions could have more detail and better clearer pictures, but it's easy to figure it out. The frame pieces are stacked in the package- mine were in the order they attach- top, middle, bottom. Bottom section has the large hole to secure to a base. The one with goove at botton, nests with the piece above. The cross braces unfold and turn half sidways to form the "x". Loosely fasten everything together. I assembled mine by myself. Then tighten it all up when it is together. Wait to attach the wheel and tiller until you have a solid base to attach the frame to the ground.
The pins are not useful to attach to the ground. I went to Lowe's and got ubolts and boards. I cut a pallet to about 33x33", then got two project boards 16X48" and cut to 32" length (= 32X 32") I secured these boards to the pallet with sheet rock screws. Then I marked where to drill the holes for the u bolts. I attached the legs to the wood with ubolts. Then I put several large cobblestone blocks to weigh it down. Once that was secure, I then attched the wheel and tiller.

I bought this windmill to replace a 20+ year old one that was probably the same brand. I really like this one as it is red.

Love this windmill!

I love the windmill (grey) that bought a few weeks ago. After putting it up we got some unusually high winds when a winter storm blew through the area this past week and 2 of the stakes pulled out of the ground and the windmill toppled over...which I found the next morning. Unfortunately, the rudder assembly is now slightly bent and one section of the wheel ring is also slightly bent. It still works fine and from far away you can't tell but this got me to thinking about ways to secure the windmill better so it doesn't fall over again in the future.
Right now, I've laced a rope through the corner legs, tied the rope ends together to form a square and have placed 8 x 16 patio blocks on the rope between the legs on all four sides. I also used the stakes to help secure it further. If the rope, which is supposed to be all weather, deteriorates over time, I'll try rubber bungee cords along with the patio block and stakes.
However, it occurs to me that if the legs had a 90 degree angle on the bottom bending inward toward the middle with the stake holes, one could stake the legs and place a patio block on top of the anchored "foot". As one piece, I believe it would hold the windmill down better and would not require a rope or bungee cord between the legs.
I don't know if your company considers suggestions or not but I hope Vingli would at least consider the possibility and experiment with the option.
Thank you for your time and have a great day!

Love my Windmill

I love my Windmill. It's a beautiful addition to my gardens. I would suggest two people to put it together as sometimes you need 4 hands. The structure is painted with enamel and looks to be baked on. Once assembled and placed the Windmill works perfectly.

Nice windmill

After researching many windmill in stores I decided on this one from Vingli. It arrived with 1 piece bent from shipping and I let them know and within days I had my part. With patience and help it went right together. As far as the "spikes" use them for something else. Go to the pet store and get 4 screw in spikes for your dog and connect to the base with big nylon zip ties and enjoy it. Very happy.

Difficult instructions, but happy after assembled(2+ hour later)

Instructions were a bit difficult to understand, took some time to put together.
Very happy in the end

Instructions deceiving and confusing

Don't follow directions that came with it. Put frame together then attach top blade assembly.
