This honey extractor is so easy to use and is high quality.
Very pleased with this unit. Used it for the first time today. Be sure to grease the gears.
This is our first extractor, as we only have two boxes. Previously we’ve just used the gravity method. You can tell it’s pretty good quality right out of the box. Directions are pretty much non existent, but assembly is a no brainer. It even comes with a small adjustable wrench and plumbers tape for the included spigot. Action is smooth. If I had to criticize, I would say the frame baskets are WAY too big for a standard frame, but that can be shored up easily.
Looking forward to pulling some frames this weekend.
It’s buil well turns easy great price
I would have gave 5 stars but came without an essential bolt and nut. Other than having to improvise the missing bolt it seems to be a good extractor!
Works great! Need to bolt it to a floor because of the force created inside. Only complaint- wish valve was on bottom on one side so I did not need to unbolt and tip to get the last bit of honey. Easy to clean.
It was delivered in good shape, it was easy to assemble, it worked great! I like that you can remove the handle and put a drill on it if you want to but I didn’t need to. The one thing to watch out for when cleaning is the little ball bearing on the bottom of the spinner. I removed mine for cleaning. it will fall out.
For the money, this is really good. Easy to assemble. Like others have said, there are some sharp edges so be aware/careful. Also as others have pointed out, there is a ball bearing at the bottom, which would be easy to lose when cleaning. I just put some painters tape over it while I cleaned tank just to keep in place. I have only 2 hives so this is perfect for me.
I was very skeptical that I'd get what I paid for here (cheap). That is not the case. I was so impressed while putting this together. The name brand one at nearby stores are charging $350 for something that is equivalent in quality.
This will last us for many years.
***While putting this together, there was a bolt that was missing. After contacting the company, they quickly shipped replacement bolts/nuts for the whole unit. I am very grateful of their understanding and speed with resolving my issue.
